On the 8th Day of Christmas...

I am absolutely loving the new Pantone color of the year, Tangerine Tango!

This was a fantastic choice, and I am so happy about it- well, almost as happy as Honeysuckle from last year- but still, really really happy! Who doesn't love Tangerine!?! It just brightens your day! I would be happy to receive anything in tangerine this year for Christmas!

On the 7th Day of Christmas...

All I want is a fabric headboard!

When we moved into our apartment last Spring, I made a list of things I needed in order of importance. Well, you can live without a headboard but I feel that's it time to maybe invest in one.

But there are so many styles and shapes! What do I pick?

I really don't want to spend a lot of money on this though!

I could buy this from Serena and Lily...
Or this one from Ballard Design...

Or I could just make my own thanks Jillian Harris' DIY project found on her blog. I think it could be a lot of fun to make my own...I could pick my own fabric, my own shape, etc. Only issue- quality of my own work!

What shape do you think I should do?

On the 6th Day of Christmas...

I am asking for animal prints!

This is just such a fantastic runner!

I want these ballet flats from Kate Spade!

I saw this the other day at Tory Burch. Oh wow!

I just had to post these holiday pics!

Aren't these just so much fun!

On the 5th Day of Christmas...

I am asking for a lacquered room!

I was just in a house that had several lacquered painted rooms- a purple media room and a green library! I wish that the rooms had been more complete (no furnishings yet), but I can only imagine what their interior designers were planning!

Just seeing those rooms got me thinking- one day, I want my very own lacquered room! Until then, I have to live vicariously through these photos. Oh I know the issues with lacquer paint- trust me, I've done a few rooms in the past and know that even the slightest bit of dust can mess the whole thing up. But I'm willing to take my chances! Some people sacrifice for fashion- I will sacrifice for my home!

Enjoy!

On the 4th Day of Christmas...

All I want is a plaid Christmas!

I spent a good portion of my weekend decorating our apartment for the holidays. This is our first Christmas as a married couple...and our first Christmas living in a place large enough to have a tree! With that said, we haven't ever had the need to invest in Christmas decorations.

I've looked and looked and can't seem to find the tree skirt or table runner that I really want. Everything seems a bit cheesy, so I think I may head over to a fabric store and buy plaids to make exactly what I want. Here are some inspiration photos I found. Now hopefully I can find plaids that I love!

Just a great chair!

(I NEED this ornament that I found on Etsy)

On the 3rd Day of Christmas....

All I want is to have a gallery of pictures down my hallway.
And I would start with this painting....

This is by Laura Matos, a fellow blogger here in Chicago. I love her blog and her Etsy site!

I will also throw in a print from The Pink Pagoda just because I need one of her prints!

I have a few weeks off over the holidays, and my goal is to begin my gallery wall.

I think I like the cluttered look as opposed to straight lines. I just love how your eye is drawn to so many different objects and you don't know what to look at first! I think the elephant painting will be a dramatic addition to my wall. I plan to throw in prints, some paintings that I find on Etsy, a few photos, and possibly my wedding invitation that I had framed months ago but have yet to hang.

So excited!

On the 2nd Day of Christmas...

All I want are pajamas from Needham Lane!

I love the patterns that they offer!

And then I want to lounge on this sofa...

I probably would never leave this room (or get out of my pjs!)
